Finadyne 50 mg
ml solution for injection is a sterile solution containing 50 mg flunixin, as flunixin meglumine and is for the treatment upon horses, cattle and pigs.Finadyne can be used upon cattle to help control acute inflammation associated with respiratory disease. It has also been shown to have some benefit in the treatment of experimental acute bovine pulmonary emphysema (Fog Fever) and may also be used as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of acute mastitis. The recommended dose in cattle is 2ml per 45kg body weight. This should be administered intravenously and repeated as necessary at 24 hour intervals for up to 5 consecutive days.Finadyne can be used upon horses to alleviate inflammation and pain associated with musculo-skeletal disorders and visceral pain associated with colic in horses. The recommended dose for horses is 1ml per 45kg bodyweight. This should be administered intravenously once daily for up to 5 days.Finadyne can also be used upon pigs as an adjunctive therapy in the treatment of swine respiratory diseases. The recommended dose for pigs is 2ml per 45kg body weight. This should be administered once by intramuscular injection, in the neck, in conjunction with appropriate antimicrobial therapy. When intramuscular injection is used, the dose should be divided between two injection sites on either side of the neck and should not exceed 5ml per injection site.Please see packaging for withdrawal periods
