Copasure Cattle is appropriate for both primary and secondary copper deficiencies. Copasure is used when there is insufficient copper in the diet (primary copper deficiency). It can also be used for secondary copper deficiencies which results from the adverse effects of molybdenum, iron or sulphur upon copper absorption. The copper oxide rods are retained for two to three months in the ruminant digestive tract, slowly releasing copper and elevating liver stores for approximately 6 months.The copper status of the herd should be known prior to use. For oral administration only.Young cattle, 100 to 300kg: 1 x 24g capsuleAdult cattle, over 300kg: 1 or 2 x 24g capsule depending on the severity of deficiencyRuminating calves, 75 to 100kg, may be given 2 x 4g capsules of Copinox Ewe
Calf 4g.The capsules should be administered orally over the back of the tongue, care should be taken when dosing animals to avoid injury to the mouth and pharynx.
