Vetmedin is a treatment for dogs with congestive heart failure originating from dilated cardiomyopathy or valvular insufficiency. Vetmedin has been shown to improve the quality of life and extend life expectancy in treated dogs. It acts in two ways:To open up blood vessels carrying blood to and from the heart, which reduces the work your dog's heart has to do to pump blood around the body.To increase the strength of your dog's heart beat which will improve the pumping action.The recommended daily dose should be administered orally within the dose range of 0.2mg to 0.6mg pimobendan
kg bodyweight, divided into two daily doses. Each dose should be given approximately 1 hour before feeding.
