Veraflox flavoured tablets are indicated to treat a wide range of infections including skin and wound infections in dogs and cats, upper respiratory tract infections in cats, and urinary tract infections in dogs. In addition Veraflox flavoured tablets are approved as adjunct treatment to mechanical or surgical periodontal therapy to treat gingivitis and periodontitis in dogs.In dogs, Veraflox flavoured tablets are indicated for the treatment of wound infections caused by susceptible strains of the Staphylococcus intermedius group (including S. pseudintermedius), for the treatment of superficial and deep pyoderma caused by susceptible strains of the Staphylococcus intermedius group (including S. pseudintermedius) and also for the treatment of acute urinary tract infections caused by susceptible strains of Escherichia coli and the Staphylococcus intermedius group (including S. pseudintermedius). It can also be used as adjunctive treatment to mechanical or surgical periodontal therapy in the treatment of severe infections of the gingiva and periodontal tissues caused by susceptible strains of anaerobic organisms, for example Porphyromonas spp. and Prevotella spp. In cats, Veraflox flavoured tablets are indicated for the treatment of acute infections of the upper respiratory tract caused by susceptible strains of Pasteurella multocida, Escherichia coli and the Staphylococcus intermedius group (including S. pseudintermedius).Veraflox flavoured tablets are given orally once daily at 3 mg
kg body weight. Only the 15mg tablet is suitable for cats.
