Ultrapen LA 30% Suspension for Injection is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by or associated with organisms sensitive to penicillin. The suspension is specifically formulated to provide sustained antibacterial activity following a single administration to cattle and pigs.Ultrapen LA can be used in the treatment and control of a wide range of common systemic, respiratory, urinary and local infections caused by penicillin-susceptible organisms including: navel
joint-ill, respiratory tract infections, meningitis and urogenital tract infections.For administration to cattle, Ultrapen LA can be administered by either the subcutaneous or intramuscular route to non-lactating cattle and intramuscularly only to lactating cattle. For administration to pigs, Ultrapen LA should be administered by the intramuscular route only. The recommended dose is 20mg procaine penicillin per kg bodyweight, equivalent to 1ml per 15kg bodyweight.Please see packaging for withdrawal periods
