Distocur 34 mg/ml Oral Suspension contains oxyclozanide and is used for the treatment of adult liver fluke (Fasciola hepatica) infections and elimination of tapeworm segments (Moniezia spp.) in cattle and sheep. It is effective against mature flukes in the bile ducts and helps improve herd and flock health by reducing parasitic burdens.
Cattle: For the treatment of adult liver fluke infections and elimination of tapeworm segments.
Sheep: For the treatment of adult liver fluke infections and elimination of tapeworm segments.
Dose Rates
Cattle: 10 mg oxyclozanide per kg bodyweight (equivalent to 3 ml per 10 kg).
Sheep: 15 mg oxyclozanide per kg bodyweight (equivalent to 4.4 ml per 10 kg).
Administer as an oral drench. Shake container well before use and ensure accurate dosing according to bodyweight.
Withdrawal Period
Cattle:
Meat and offal: 13 days
Milk: 108 hours (4.5 days)
Sheep:
Meat and offal: 14 days
Milk: 168 hours (7 days)
Contraindications / Warnings
Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to oxyclozanide.
Not effective against immature fluke stages.
Avoid underdosing and frequent repeat treatments to reduce resistance risk.
Shake thoroughly before use and calibrate dosing equipment accurately.
