Chronogest is a controlled released vaginal sponge impregnated with 20mg micronised cronolone (flugestone acetate) for sheep. Chronogest is widely used for the induction and synchronization of oestrus and ovulation in ewes and ewe lambs.The dose is one sponge per animal irrespective of body weight, breed, type and season. The sponge is inserted intra-vaginally using an applicator and the duration of the sponge residence should be 14 days. At the end of the administration period, the sponge can gently be removed by pulling on its string.
